India, color

From the first hours I’ve spent in India I’ve realized that colors were really awesome there and this even if the weather was quite cloudy… Indeed, colors in India are not so much depending on sunlight. From among other sources of colors, there’s this contrast between mate dark skin colors and the shining white or flashy colors of clothes. In markets beside food and spices stalls you find the pigment powders exposed on muddy floors that are thereafter gently applied on foreheads. And when the night falls you find yourself between blinding white neon lightings and the warm flames of oil candels with their dark smoke with this permanent background of colorful walls covered by a thick layer of dirt, soot and creating an impressive palette of colors…
